GW 494 is a natural soy wax created for the specific use of making wax melts and tarts without the need for additives. It eliminates frost and bloom issues, easily releases from molds, and has great scent throw. This wax is only recommended for wax melts and tarts and not for use in candles.
- Make-Up: Soy & Bio-Based additives
- Pour Temperature: Heat to 170°, Pour above 150°
- Melt Point between 120° and 125°
- Fragrance Load: 5% to 10%

I was super excited to FINALLY get this wax delivered, and by FINALLY I mean that UPS took their damn sweet time getting it to me after returning the first batch for being 'damaged'. There was nothing wrong with it according to the CICS team, so whatever LOL. Not their fault!
I emailed and got in touch with a lovely named Lauren, and she was amazing :)
Shipment arrived and I immediately got to work using it.
The wax took colors very well. The fragrance was amazingly strong even when just smelling the hardened wax bars. And the *snap* when I broke a sample bar to melt it was pretty damn satisfying LOL.
Not to mention the prices! Even with shipping, the order total for a 50lb case of this wax was SIGNIFICANTLY lower than the companies I order my fragrance oil (and previously my wax!) from...
I'm definitely coming back to Central Illinois Candle Supply for my wax from now on <3 :D

I've used this wax for years. Cures smooth and creamy. Central Illinois Candle Supply has the best customer service and I will be using them For my Sole Soy wax provider .
